Hadis Karami is an Iranian-born, Massachusetts-based interdisciplinary artist working primarily with textiles and fiber. Through embroidery, weaving, basketry, and mixed-media installations, she explores themes of memory, identity, displacement, gender, and systems of power. Drawing on personal experiences and broader social and political issues, her work uses traditional textile techniques to examine the relationship between individual and collective experiences.

Karami received her MFA in 3D Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2023. She also holds a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. She has exhibited her work across the United States.

Karami is the recipient of the St. Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Award (2026), the New Bedford Creative ArtNet Grant (2024), the Surface Design Association Outstanding Student Award (2023), the MassArt Graduate Thesis Award (2023), and the Jill Slosburg-Ackerman Scholarship from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Foundation (2022). In addition to her studio practice, Karami teaches fiber art and textile techniques at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education.
